What's in the box

Your Momento arrives ready to use.

Three inserts, already installedTwo paper inserts (76 pages each, lined or blank) and a zipper organizer for cards, stamps, photos and loose notes.
Two elasticsOne is threaded through the spine and holds your inserts. The other is a loose elastic. It's meant to be loose and isn't broken. You use it to hold extra inserts (see Fit up to six).
Your charm and a tiny jump ringThe jump ring is what attaches the charm. It's very small, so check the linen bag and the zipper pouch.
A linen travel bagReady to gift as it is.
Ordered a fountain pen?It comes with a 5-pack of ink. The pen and the ink can arrive in separate packages.

Install or swap your inserts

Each insert is held by a strand of elastic that sits in its center fold.

Open the cover flat. The elastic runs down the inside of the spine.
Pull one strand of elastic away from the spine.
Open the insert to its middle pages and slide it under the strand, so the elastic sits right in the center fold.
Do the same with the next insert and the next strand.
To take an insert out, open it to the middle, lift the elastic out of the fold and slide the insert free.

Fit up to six inserts

Your Momento holds 5 to 6 inserts with the two elastics it comes with.

The video shows one way to set it up, using the loose elastic to hold the extra inserts. You can also stack inserts by sliding the cover of one behind another.

We don't sell extra elastics right now. Pre-looped traveler's notebook elastics from other shops also work if you want to add more.

Attach your charm

Your charm hangs on the elastic with a small jump ring.

Find the jump ring, the tiny metal ring that comes with your charm. If it arrived open, that's on purpose.
If it's closed, open it by twisting the two ends sideways, away from each other. Tweezers or small pliers make this easier.
Loop the ring through the hole in the charm, then around the elastic.
Twist the ends back together so they meet. Your charm is on.

Put ink in your fountain pen

It takes about a minute.

Unscrew the barrel from the grip.
Push an ink cartridge onto the end of the grip until you hear a click.
Screw the barrel back on.
Hold the pen nib down and wait for the ink to flow to the nib. Then start writing.

Need more ink? Ink refills come in packs of 5, in black or blue.

Not sure which size you have? It's on your order confirmation email. You can also measure an insert: Pocket inserts are about 16 cm tall, Classic about 19 cm.

Questions

Where is my order?

Track it any time on our tracking page with your order number and email. Tracking can go a few days between updates while your package moves between carriers. That's normal, and it's still on its way.

Only part of my order arrived

Orders can ship in more than one package, and pens, ink and some add-ons often come separately. You'll get a shipping email for each package. If something still hasn't arrived after the rest, email us and we'll check.

Can I change my order?

For about an hour after you order, you can change items, sizes, colors and add-ons yourself from your order status page. It's linked in your order confirmation email. After that, email us as soon as you can and we'll do our best.

My elastic snapped, or something arrived damaged

Email a photo to help@stillarchive.com with your order number and we'll make it right. Your Momento has a lifetime warranty on the binding, the cover and the hardware.

My charm or jump ring is missing

Check the linen bag and the zipper pouch first, since the jump ring is tiny and easy to miss. Still can't find it? Email us a photo of what arrived.

Where do I get refills?

Your Momento already comes with its first inserts. When you need more, get refill inserts in Pocket or Classic, lined or blank. The 6-pack has 3 Pocket and 3 Classic inserts for The Pair.

Do you have planner or calendar inserts?

Yes. The Planner Inserts are a set of three: a weekly spread, a month at a glance and grid paper. You can also buy each one on its own.

How do I skip or change my Mail Club?

Log in to your account and you can skip, pause or cancel any time before your next billing date. Mail Club travels by regular letter post without tracking. If yours hasn't arrived within 4 weeks of the send date, email us.

How do returns work?

You have 100 days to try your Momento. To start a return, email help@stillarchive.com and we'll take care of it. The details are in our return policy.
