Your phone was never going to empty your head
It is eleven at night. You pick up your phone to wind down, and forty minutes later you have read three news stories, two group chats and a recipe you will never make.
A full head does not need more coming in. The phone only ever adds to the pile.
Paper works the other way. It takes things out. That is why it belongs on the nightstand and the phone belongs on the charger across the room.
