Four hours, and not one thing you could name

You pick the phone up for a minute at ten. Then it's 2:37, the room is dark, and if someone asked what you watched, you couldn't name one thing.

That isn't you. The feed is built so the next video pushes the last one out. Nothing in it was ever made to stay with you.

"Something about it makes you gravitate to it"

An owner wrote that to us in a survey this October. It's the whole trick. The phone wins at night because it's the thing within reach.

Put something you actually like holding in that spot, and your hand starts going there instead.

The phone goes in a drawer. The journal goes on the nightstand.

It doesn't take willpower, it takes a drawer. At night the phone goes in one across the room, and the journal sits where the phone used to be.

When you reach over in the dark, you find the book. One line about the day, then the light goes off.

One line counts as a finished night

You don't owe it a page. "Called my sister. The tomatoes finally came in. He made me laugh at dinner." That's a whole entry.

Next month you'll open it and remember a night you would have scrolled straight past.

No printed dates, so a missed night costs nothing

Some nights the phone still wins. That's fine. The Momento has no printed dates, so there's no empty square waiting to tell you that you skipped Thursday.

You open to the next blank page and that's tonight.

When an insert fills, a fresh one slides in

Each insert is about 76 pages. When one fills, it slides out of the cover and a refill goes in, so the book on your nightstand stays the same and the nights keep adding up.

The finished ones come out to keep. There's a zip pocket inside for the little things, and the charms clip onto the cord.

What comes in the box, and which size

Every Momento arrives with the cover, two paper inserts of about 76 pages each (one lined, one blank), a zipper organizer insert, a linen travel bag and a free charm that clips onto the cord. The clip, pen and extra charms you see in the video are not in the box.

The Pocket is 4.25 x 6.89 inches and the Classic is 4.72 x 7.87 inches. A6 inserts fit the Classic; A5 and B6 are too big for either size. Refills start at $12. Right now the Momento is 50% off, with easy 100-day returns.

Frequently asked questions

What does my Momento come with?

The complete starter kit. Your leather cover in the size and color you pick, two 76-page Daolin inserts (one lined, one blank), an organizer insert for cards, stamps, photos, or loose notes, and a linen travel bag. Restock Event adds a complimentary charm. Everything you need to start writing on day one.

How is this different from a Moleskine or Midori?

A Moleskine is a notebook. You fill it, finish it, buy another. A Midori is a traveler's notebook system designed around buying inserts separately. Momento is the refillable cover plus a complete starter kit in one box, with US shipping and a lifetime warranty. Same cover, new pages, forever.

Pocket or Classic, which is for me?

Pocket if you carry it daily and write in shorter sessions. Back pocket, jacket, small purse. Classic if you sit down to write. Letters, longer entries, sketching, planning. Pocket fits anywhere. Classic gives you room to breathe.

Will it fit in my bag?

Pocket fits a back pocket, small purse, or jacket pocket. Classic is a bit larger than the size of a paperback and lives in a tote or purse.

What's the paper like?

Each insert has 76 pages of smooth, high-quality Daolin paper. It is fountain-pen friendly with minimal bleed-through and feathering, so it handles everything from a pencil or gel pen to a wet fountain nib beautifully.

How do refills work?

Slide the used insert out, slide a new one in. Refills start at $12, about 76 pages each. Most customers set them on a 3-month cadence and stop thinking about it. Skip, pause, change cadence, or cancel from your account anytime. No phone calls, no retention scripts.

What does the lifetime warranty cover?

Binding failure, cover failure, and hardware like the grommets. If something structural breaks, we replace it for free immediately, no shipping fee.

Is this a good gift?

Yes. Every Momento ships in a gift-ready linen bag, so you can hand it over as-is. It's our most-gifted product. If you're unsure on color, Bordeaux and Mocha are safe picks for someone whose taste you don't know well.

What if I don't love it?

Try Momento for 100 days. If you don't fall in love, easy 100-day returns. Just email help@stillarchive.com and we'll take care of it.

Why Momento sticks when everything else gets abandoned.

Most of us have three of these already. Most of us stopped using all three within a month.
